// CV workshop and job-themed knowledge share //
Are you on the look-out for a new job? Maybe you'd like to keep your CV looking fresh just in case? Or just curious to hear and share strategies for job searching? It can be really daunting to get back on the rollercoaster of job searching and interviewing, let's meet up and give each other some support.
This idea arose out of our WhatsApp group to have a meetup based on CV feedback.
We'll spend about an hour looking at anonymised CV's and giving constructive notes on them, and about half an hour opening the discussion up to either chat about job-search-related topics or practice mock interview questions.
We'll have a range of experiences attending, including folks from hiring teams and those with experience interviewing and rating candidates.
** Please bring a laptop if you are able to - no worries if this is not possible, if you could let us know in advance we should have a couple of spares. **
** If you'd like to get feedback on your CV, please email them to queertechbristol [@] gmail [dot] com with your personal identifying data either changed or redacted. ***
// Location //
We'll be in the Pervasive Media (PM) Studio at the Watershed. There is step-free access via a lift, but is a bit hidden away in the building, so here’s some directions - if you get stuck ask a member of staff where the PM Studio is:
* Go to the cafe/bar
* When looking at the bar, you’ll see some double doors to the left of it
* Go through these double doors, past the toilets. Follow the corridor further along and there will be a doorbell to ring for the Pervasive Media Studio
We don't have a sponsor for this edition - our organisers will pay for some snacks themselves, but feel free to bring your own refreshments as well.
We will also be send out a contact email before the event so please check your spam folder!
