on Thursday 15th May. The event starts at 18:00.
Welcome to Diverse Drag! This is our final showcase event for the Diverse UK Drag project, a series of creative workshops designed for autistic and neurodivergent communities to learn and get involved in Bristol's dazzling world of drag, movement and performance.
Our evening will start with a relaxed social, with crafts and a makeup station to play with a wonderful new look.
Performances from local stars
MARIANA TRENCH
Mariana Trench is a chaotic force of nature who uses their ADHD to operate as an all-singing, all-tap dancing, all-costume making, and burlesque dancing menace. They're deep, mysterious and responsible for the disappearance of several deep sea divers
YUGIHOE
She’s in a crisis, we hope you’re on your way!
The first winner of Jessica Jungle’s I’m Gonna Be a Star and co-producer of Femtop Productions: YuGiHoe is Bristol’s premier white woman in a crisis. Whether being pursued by werewolves, recreating Bonnie Tyler music videos or pondering the ennui of being the woman who has everything; YuGi is ready for whatever comes her way.
Hosted by Bristol's sleepiest hypeman GENDER CRIMINAL
Gender Criminal is the SCOUNDREL of the South-West! Bristol's sleepiest hypeman and Province Prinx, he's a gender jester bringing high politi-camp, artistic alchemy moving across body queering, raw emotional explorations and mesmerising storytelling. Nothing is safe from his piercing reimagination. Father of Bristol’s T4T production troupe House of Boussé, he'll take you on a surreal serenade through his rambunctious ramblings, ruthless optimism and authentic tyrannical trans chaos.
This project has been made possible by funding from Bristol City Council.
