The King of Funk is back in Bristol for his debut show on the infamous Thekla Boat. With him his merry crew consists of some of his favourite Djs
Sam Redmore: Driven by BBC 6 music Support from the likes of Rob Da Bank, Gilles Peterson, Huey Morgan, Don Letts, Nemone, Lauren Laverne and Craig Charles (who has three times invited him as special guest on the show). SAM REDMORE has built a name for himself over the last few years for crafting soul-drenched remixes and reworks of both solidied classics and lesser known material.
His production incorporate anything from soul, hip hop, reggae and funk through to disco, afrobeat, latin and house influences that shine through in his genre defying DJ SETS, Resident DJ for Leftfoot in Birmingham for the last seven years, Redmore has shared the stage with a who's who from the leftfield dance music community, spinning at a plethora of clubs, parties and festivals across the UK
THE ALLERGIES: Bristolian duo DJ Moneyshot & Rackabeat have made it their mission to take vintage sounds and reshape them for the modern dance floor.
Future classics like'Heartbreaker' [Tune of the Month - Mixmag] and uptempo stomper'As We Do Our Thing' have been championed on radio by the BBC's Craig Charles, and live their DJ sets mash up their funky influences with hard-earned hip-hop skills.
SIR FUNK are Funksters, Soulsters, producers and DJs on the hunt for funk. Consistently delivering the funkiest sets in UK Clubland and well worthy of being the Funk and Soul Club residents.
