PTS ϟ DJ Storm, µ-Ziq, Oli XL, BABii at Thekla
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Not one, but two OG UK dance music pioneers aboard for PTS’ next mega club voyage. Rave royalty rocking the boat with the First Lady of Metalheadz aka DJ Storm + melodic IDM veteran µ-Ziq (the evil mastermind behind Planet Mu). Plus two of the finest internet-spawned electronic world-builders: ethereal and metallic-pop daredevil BABii and kinetic-club innovator Oli XL. Let’s gooo."

DJ Storm
No need for an introduction for the first lady of Metalheadz, and of Jungle / Drum ’n’ Bass altogether. Storm has been doing this since the early 90s, and we’re beyond excited for a masterclass of a closing set.
FFO: Metalheadz!

µ-ziq (live)
First Bristol show in 14 years for IDM pioneer, Planet Mu founder and Aphex Twin collaborator µ-ziq, off the back of the release of his much acclaimed 17th studio album “Grush” earlier this year. Innovator of late 90s electronica and absolutely essential figure in pushing new sounds through his label — including introducing Footwork to the UK via the “Bangs & Works” series. Not to be missed.
FFO: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Planet Mu!

Oli XL
Oli had his big break with the now cult classic album "Rogue Intruder, Soul Enhancer" — his unique patchwork sampling style is paired with personal field recordings & shy fragmented vocals, resulting in a bizarre but emotionally rich universe recalling the playfulness of Basement Jaxx as much as humourless glitch. This is his penultimate show before his new album drops on Warp.
FFO: Vegyn, Loraine James, Klein

BABii (live)
Alt-Pop storyteller and experimentalist BABii celebrates the launch of her new album “DareDeviil2000” with a special late night live show; the hometown stop of her UK+EU tour. The new album sees her bring a grittier and bass-heavy sound, we’ve been told to expect something special for the live show.
FFO: Snow Strippers, Eartheater, Iglooghost

+++ Local legends holding it down in Room Two.
