_______
Bristol-based DJ k means had their first brush with dance music when they were just a teen, covering fantastical videogame soundtracks on the piano. Later falling in love with footwork's dizzy, rhythmic futurism, they began to develop a feel for the dancefloor's gooiest corners, folding experimental, hypnotic sounds into breathless, bass-heavy beats. A resident at Bristol's Psychotherapy Sessions, k-means has also contributed extensive sessions to Noods, Rinse FM and Kiosk, and has played across the UK and beyond, bringing their unique perspective to Berlin's OHM, London's Fabric and Malmö's Intonal Festival.
_______
Yusuf began DJing in Bristol as The Sultan back in 2009. After a back to back set with Roni Size at Bristol Beacon, he quickly made a name for himself playing regularly across Bristol, Manchester and London. His Top Rankin' night, radio shows and technical ability on turntables gave him appearances on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network and KISS. More recently, Yusuf co-founded RepresentAsian, a collective spotlighting South Asian sounds and talent. His monthly show on SWU FM (Rinse UK) showcases this passion; blending warm, global rhythms with UK club energy. Expect a masterclass in genre-spanning vibes delivered with lightning fast skills.
_____
Emperor Fun and Done With Fun join forces as Fun Dynasty for a b2b of politically effused music. Drawing inspiration from Toby Manning’s Marxist history of popular music ‘Mixing Pop and Politics’, the duo will chart the auditory dimensions of assent and assimilation, resistance and reimagining. The political always has sonic permutations.
Come together to sweat in defiance of fascism.

Bristol Transformed is a grassroots and volunteer-led festival of radical politics, arts and culture: bringing together activists, trade unionists, leading thinkers and anyone interested in left-wing politics.
