Caper Ceilidh at The Trinity Centre
See event details

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Friday 24th January. The event starts at 20:00.

**If the ticket price makes the event inaccessible for you, please contact us at wilderbeatscollective[@]gmail.com as we have a small number of low wage tickets available. We set our ticket prices to just cover our costs and make a small profit for charity (we mostly rely on our raffle to raise money)**

After two successful events, raising almost £1500 for charity, we're back for round 3!

Our events have received rave reviews, and we're hearing strangers on the bus talking (positively) about them now, so what other reviews do you need? Grab your ticket while sales last to avoid disappointment!

Have you ever heard of a capercaillie*? What about a "Caper Ceilidh"?! Our Caper Ceilidhs are a ceilidhs (traditional folk music and dance events) raising money for rewilding and other conservation charities around the UK.

Come and join us for a fantastic evening of energetic folk music and dancing, with one of the best ceilidh bands around - Fitty Gomash!

*TIMINGS*
Doors open: 7.00pm
Ceilidh begins: 7.30 pm
Ceilidh ends: 10:30 pm
Venue closes: 11.00 pm

All proceeds this time will be donated to the Somerset Eel Recovery Project - a grassroots charity working to protect and bring European eels back to the Somerset Levels. Once plentiful across the Somerset Levels, this migratory fish is now registered as critically endangered throughout its range.

At our last event we raised just over £400 for Trees For Life and before that we raised £1000 for Somerset Wildlands Trust.

If you've never been to a ceilidh before, don't worry! There will be a caller on hand to tell you all the steps.

Fancy dress as your favourite native wildlife is non-compulsory but very much encouraged! There will be a prize for the best dressed. However, bear in mind that riotous ceilidh dancing means that you will want to keep layers and extra potentially-eye-gouging-apendages to a minimum.

Trainers/ comfortable shoes are highly recommended!

In addition to the ceilidh, there will be a raffle, a full bar, accessible toilets (the venue is wheelchair accessible), and both indoor and outdoor seating areas for when you need a break.

*PLEASE DON'T ATTEND IF YOU HAVE CORONAVIRUS (OR ANY OTHER VIRAL) SYMPTOMS! Let's look after each other and the planet*
