Caper Ceilidh at The Trinity Centre
See event details

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Friday 16th August. The event starts at 19:30.

*If you're having trouble buying tickets through a phone, we've found that doing so through a computer works!*

After our first sell-out event back in April, we're back for round two! Our first event received across the board 5 star reviews. We've also taken feedback on board to make this one EVEN BETTER! The last event sold out, so grab your ticket while sales last to avoid disappointment!

Have you ever heard of a capercaillie*? What about a "Caper Ceilidh"?!

A Caper Ceilidh is a ceilidh raising money for rewilding and other conservation charities around the UK.

Come and join us for an evening of frivolity, good cheer and dancing, with Shanvaghera - a Bristol-based Irish folk band!

*TIMINGS*
Doors open: 7.00pm
Ceilidh begins: 7.30 pm
Ceilidh ends: 10:30 pm
Venue closes: 11.00 pm

All proceeds will be donated to Trees For Life, a charity working to restore the Caledonian Pine Forests in Scotland to their formerly wild and abundant glory. Part of their work also focuses on working with disadvantaged and marginalised groups in society, giving people the opportunity to reconnect to nature and themselves by partaking in rewilding weeks across the Scottish Highlands.

At our last event we raised just over £1000 for Somerset Wildlands Trust. We're hoping to go even better this time!

If you've never been to a ceilidh before, don't worry! There will be a caller on hand to tell you all the steps!

Fancy dress as your favourite native wildlife is non-compulsory but very much encouraged! There will be a prize for the best dressed. However, bear in mind that riotous ceilidh dancing means that you will want to keep layers and extra potentially-eye-gouging-apendages to a minimum.

Trainers/ comfortable shoes are highly recommended!

In addition to the ceilidh, there will be a raffle, a full bar, a staffed cloakroom, accessible toilets (the venue is wheelchair accessible), and both indoor and outdoor seating areas for when you need a break!

If the ticket price makes the event inaccessible for you, please contact us and we'll see what we can do.

*PLEASE DON'T ATTEND IF YOU HAVE CORONAVIRUS (OR ANY OTHER VIRAL) SYMPTOMS! Let's look after each other and the planet*

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
