"Superlative post-bop from Gen X’s bright young thing, Joe’s on a stunning trajectory from Ronnie Scott’s to Jools Holland to accompanying Wynton Marsalis! And it’s easy to see why…..Webb’s uncanny sense of Ellington’s swing and Monk’s voicing gets filtered through the youthful flair of his 00s Welsh roots. One of the most compelling and masterful instrumentalists around at the moment."

Event bio:
Join us for an unforgettable evening of jazz in the loft with the amazing Joe Webb Trio, performing live in the cozy upstairs studio at the Tobacco Factory. Known for his masterful touch on the piano and deep connection to the jazz tradition, Joe Webb is one of the UK’s most exciting jazz musicians.
This special performance is presented by Bristol Jazz Festival in partnership with Bristol Jazz Workshop, and promises a night of dynamic improvisation, rich harmonies, and electrifying swing. Whether you're a lifelong jazz lover or new to the scene, this is an opportunity to experience world-class musicianship up close in an intimate and atmospheric venue.
Joe Webb, described as one of the UK's most captivating young pianists, is looking forward to bringing his trio to Bristol this April.
After the success of their debut album “hamstrings & Hurricanes” the trio will be performing music from this release as well as brand new music.
Inspired by performances together serving as the house band at a prominent London venue for over two years, Joe began composing music specifically tailored to double bassist Will Sach and drummer Sam Jesson.
Webb’s ability to seamlessly intertwine the raw energy of 90’s “Brit pop” bands, his love for football, and his deep-rooted connection to the Jazz piano tradition, will no doubt captivate audiences and create an excitement from global audiences.
