Crow Puppets are a Devon based female duo who perform homespun folk. They sing close harmonies and blend a hotchpotch of instruments, weaving mysterious imagery and tender lyrics.
Since forming in the winter of 2012, they have performed extensively throughout the Westcountry and have had airtime on UK, European and American radio.
Their self released album ‘Whispering Hills, Tangled Hair’ was recorded in a cabin in Cornwall over two days by Nick Marshall (guitarist with Martha Tilston), and has been described by Folk Radio UK as an “assured and confident debut album focused on an evocative, contemporary folk sound that clearly inspires. One to watch, definitely.”
Both women have their own distinctive sound and working together has given rise to an exciting contrast of songwriting, which cultivates memories of forgotten landscapes and rugged terrain.
They are currently recording their second album with Jay Darlington (Kula Shaker and keyboardist for Oasis).
