The Surrey Vaults is an extremely welcoming and friendly pub just of Portland Square in St Pauls. The back-to-basics feel of the downstairs bar is continued upstairs where the pub boasts an excellent DIY venue and cosy gaming room. Alongside The Old England, The Surrey is becoming an invaluable venue for new Bristol bands with up and coming experimental musicians making great use of the unconventional upstairs space.
