YENA, the Young Entrepreneur Networking Association, is a networking platform tYoung Entrepreneur Networking Association, that aims to help young people between the ages of 15 and 30 grow their professional working and business network within their peer group. Thursday May 16th will see the first meet up of YENA's promising young entrepreneurs at the Berkeley Square, Clifton Hotel, Square Bar (located just off the Clifton Triangle on Berkeley Square).
YENA was founded on one main principle, to help those people grow stronger, faster and wider, from an earlier stage in business and life. All to often can young, promising business people be intimidated by the pin-striped suits and 6am breakfasts of the older networking generation; YENA aims to avoid this by offering an opportunity to be treated equally, with intrigue by other members about what you do, how you do it, and where you're going to take your work, going forward.
Founder of YENA, Ash Phillips, started the group after attending multiple networking groups and finding that he was the youngest in attendance at 23 years old. He said about the new venture: 'I remember only a couple of years ago, scouring for places I could network and grow my business with likeminded people of the same age and same stage in business but struggled to find a big name brand pop up that I could trust, like more established, and often older business people do with brands such as BNI. I wanted to offer myself and my peers the opportunity to network together in a sociable nature, with a clear understanding that we would all be passionate about driving success between us, collaborating, referring, and even partnering to gain success. Age is not a disadvantage, quite the opposite in fact, and I want our generation to realise this and thrive in a recession-built environment'.
