A
gig
on Saturday 7th November. The event starts at 20:00.
Bath Festivals proudly presents the acclaimed indie/Americana trio Wildwood Kin at The Space, Keynsham on Saturday 7 November, the latest in a series of gigs and music nights staged at venues outside the city centre.
Wildwood Kin are two sisters, Beth and Emillie Key, and their cousin Meghann Loney, who perform a mixture of their own beautiful and thought provoking original songs with some stunning arrangements of better known covers. Their voices meld perfectly in effortless and sublime close harmony and they accompany themselves on a range of acoustic instruments.
Although they have only been performing together for less than 18 months the girls have already been shortlisted to the final four in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards 2015. In 2014 they won first prize in the National Open Mic UK competition.
With a full summer of festivals and gigs behind them, including a BBC Introducing headline set at the Somersault Festival in Devon, they are now preparing to join Seth Lakeman on his upcoming December tour.
Debut EP, Salt Of The Earth, is available on ITunes and Spotify.
Support on the night will come from Simon Allen. Simon writes songs about love, loss and everything in between. Born in Northern Ireland and now living in Radstock, Simon has a beautifully-crafted guitar style and a voice to match combine that with his skillful song writing. A winning combination which will please the ear and the heart. Simon was the winner of the Bath Folk Festival'New Shoots' competition in 2014.
