Join us for an inspiring community gathering at The Pickle Factory in Easton, Bristol, celebrating the Winter Solstice and the joy of coming together. This event raises funds to take young people from Easton on a two-day Dartmoor excursion next year.
Event Highlights:
-Weaving Workshop (2-3:30 PM): Led by Anna Hopkins from Wandering Woven, a skilled weaver with 9 years of experience in sustainable textile design. Create your own beautiful, responsibly sourced fabric while learning about this heritage craft.
-Creative Writing Workshop (2-3:30 PM): Hosted by James Broadley exploring how writing can support wellbeing and reflect community life.
-Enchanting Stories (4 PM onwards): Experience the magic of professional storyteller Corrine Harrigan, known for her soulful, trauma-informed storytelling that rekindles imaginations and inspires connection.
-Delicious Dinner (4:45 PM): Enjoy a warming vegetarian cottage pie and dessert, lovingly prepared by Rachel Hodgson of Super Supper Club, who has spent 11 years reducing food waste and supporting her community. Vegan options available.
Schedule:
2:00 PM: Workshops begin (Weaving & Creative Writing).
4:00 PM: Storytelling session.
4:45 PM: Hot dinner.
5:15 PM: Closing story, social connections, and community signposting.

-The Pickle Factory is wheelchair accessible and offers a safe, inclusive space.
-This is a Pay-What-You-Can event to cover venue costs, with concessions available for those on lower incomes.
-All are welcome, including children (accompanied by an adult).
