What: A day of experiencing and learning Participatory Facilitation, with Deborah Benham

Why: Participatory Facilitation …?

Redistributes power from the ‘front’, to the whole group of participants or learners

Emerges collective intelligence and creativity

Surfaces new directions, ideas and pathways to complex issues

Encourages more diverse and whole ways of knowing and doing

Evolves and adapts depending on the context and group

Is much more fun and engaging than ‘standard’ teaching!

Community = Power, is one of SHIFT Bristol's core beliefs/values. Surfacing and applying the collective wisdom of the community is a key approach to creating a more preferred and just future, and is a method used throughout the SHIFT Bristol Practical Sustainability Course.

Join in with a lively day of discussion, games and creative activities, and learn how to apply them in your own contexts, groups and organising.

Please wear comfortable clothes you can move around in, something to write notes in, and a spirit of playful curiosity.

Please let us know if you have any access, movement or ability needs : [email protected]
