on Thursday 13th February. The event starts at 19:00.
Our host for February's Cider Circle is Rawlins Family Cider...
Rawlins make their ciders and perries from fruit handpicked in local Somerset orchards. The family business champions traditional production, totally avoiding sulphites and other additives, and allowing their ciders to ferment naturally with the apples' own unique wild yeasts. They are also masters of keeving, the ancient art of creating naturally sweet cider with no sugar added.
Come and join us and try some of Rawlins' keeved ciders and learn about the keeving process.
What's it all about?
Cider Circle is a social bottle share hosted by Bristol Cider Club. Each month, we come together as a group of friends and friends-to-be to enjoy a range of independently-made craft ciders and perries. These are provided by the club's regular members, but we welcome everyone to bring and share. We discuss the fruits and processes used, the styles, flavours, and aromas, and the stories behind the makers themselves.
Cider and perry are incredible drinks with a rich history and heritage, a fascinating craft process, and a deep connection with the natural environment. Together, they're having a global revival, with hundreds of artisan makers producing some of the best ciders and perries the world has ever seen. Come and get involved!
