Table Music 0002 - CDeamer x JOW at The Orchard Coffee & Co
Tiered pricing £12/10/8

A gig on Wednesday 24th April. The event starts at 19:30.

Dear Friends,

We’re delighted to announce the next instalment of GUD Instinct’s “Table Music” series hosted by JOW (music, improvisations, collaborations, soup and beverages, all nestled in the homely warmth of The Orchard Coffee and Co in St George) on Wednesday April 24th.

Following our very well-received inaugural Table Music event in January, which featured modular synthesis wizard Lupo, we are completely cockahoop with excitement to reveal that this time our featured soloist and JOW collaborator will be legendary drum maestro, Clive Deamer.

Clive is quite simply one of the finest drummers in the world, which is why he’s played with everybody from Portishead to Radiohead, Robert Plant to Tom Jones, Roni Size to Siouxsie Sioux, Goldfrapp to Jeff Beck, and all points in between. He also happens to be our Pete’s bandmate, of 25 years, in Bristol’s BBC-Jazz-Award-winning and international touring combo Get The Blessing, who released their most recent album “Pallett” last autumn.

Pete and James would happily pay just to watch Clive set his kit up and take it down again. However, you will get much more for your money at this event, we promise! – a small little introductory set by hosts JOW, a medium-sized solo performance by Clive on kit and electronics, and a perfectly-formed collaborative set bringing both acts together for a unique cello-trumpet-drums trio finale. We may even have time to chat with Clive about his influences, inspirations and methodologies...

Tickets are tiered at £8/10/12
