Jazz at the Old Fish Market presents:- Dan Waldman Trio.

Top notch modern jazz featuring:

Dan Waldman - guitar
Al Swainger - bass
Dr. Toby Perrett - drums

Guitarist Dan Waldman has paid dues both in Europe and the USA, performing as a sideman with artists such as Jason Marshall, Soul Understated (Bean Clemons / Mavis Swan Poole), and flautist Gareth Williams - appearing on recordings released by Acid Jazz, Jazz Refreshed, Mark de Clive Lowe and more.

His 2020 debut release as leader 'Sources & Angles', featuring Will Vinson on sax, Kassa Overall on drums and Ryan Berg on bass received a 4 star review in Jazzwise magazine, international radio play and positive reviews elsewhere including The Times and All About Jazz. https://danwaldman.bandcamp.com/album/sources-angles

He regularly plays with Organ trio 'Manuals of Fire' who've held down a monthly residency on first Sundays at this venue for over seven years.

"Waldman’s playing has echoes of influences from Grant Green to Jim Mullen to the gentler side of John McLaughlin. It’s jazz close to the cutting edge but with a warm, soulful core." John Bungey London Jazz News

"The British guitarist Dan Waldman evaded the pull of European introspection by emigrating to New York... he swings intensely... Waldman is a sly, intricate composer..." Chris Pearson The Times

For this one-off special event he will be joined by bassist / composer Al Swainger fresh from touring his own project 'Pointless Beauty', and fellow member of 'Manuals of Fire' Dr Toby Perrett on drums, who is also well-known as part of avant-beats electronic trio 'Hippo'.

Jazz happens here every Sunday 7-9pm - always free entry.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
