SNOG and Spinny Nights present BAAST, Lynks Afrikka and Chikaya at The Old England
SNOG is a multidisciplinary and non-hierarchical collective - passionate about platforming a wide(r) demographic of folks in the arts.
In the lead up to our launch next year we're throwing co-promoted parties, to get the word out, work on our membership, and trial our manifesto points. Our second co-pro party is with none other than tastemaker duo Spinny Nights. For two years, Spinny Nights has aimed to grow, uplift and support a community of like minded artists through immersive nights, label releases and the accute use of emojis in social media posts. Come have a taste.
BAAST
A fierce and dynamic duo, BAAST serve the heat by way of skittering beats, jungle breaks, and anthemic sends for landlords. Equipped with their infectious pop-hooks and rallying cries of the proletariat, Grove and Diessa bring their high octane charm to The Old E. For fans of gender-fuckery and dancing, after their much adored Bristol Pride performance, we’re gassed to welcome BAAST back with open arms. https://b44st.bandcamp.com/album/nature-knows-no-kings
Lynks Afrikka
Avant-garde industrial drag artist and Spinny Nights alumni Lynks Afrikka: On trend, forever. Lynks makes a glorious return to their birth-home of Bristol, with their heady concoction of pulsating club beats, witty lyrics, and searing melodies for your delectation. Prepare to fall under the undeniable allure of Lynks Afrikka, if you haven’t already. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fxh8HaFP0Yw
Chikaya
With her otherworldly cosmic trap and sci-fi soul, Chikaya has carved out her distinctive sonic galaxy imbued with a shimmering fusion of pared-down beats and rich, silky vocals. Over the past year she’s been working with the likes of CASISDEAD and Bok Bok, to craft transcendental, dusky soundscapes for you to dive into. www.youtube.com/watch?v=g08i2XkiNEw
