The Ilfords are a raucous hard alt/indie rock outfit out of Ilford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. Their sound draws from a broad set of influences including punk, dance, hip hop, screamo, funk, indie, gangster rap, poetry and hardcore. Guitar bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Idles, Arctic Monkeys, Enter Shikari, the Maccabees and Foals have all contributed to their DNA. David (frontman and actor), Jack (guitarist and DJ), Phil (bassist and parliamentary advisor) and Finlay (drummer and PhD student in AI) met at school and since the band’s recent rebirth they have been rebuilding a formidable reputation for their live shows. They reached the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood Competition final (last 14 of 5000+) in 2023, were shortlisted for Tramlines (final 85 of 1500+) and packed out their debut headline UK \\new wave\\ tour in 2022 that took them to venues including the Cluny in Newcastle, Sneaky Pete's in Edinburgh, the Camden Assembly and Old Blue Last in London and the Portland Arms in Cambridge.

Entry requirements: 18+
