See event details

A gig held at The Old England Pub on Friday 6th December. The event starts at 20:00.

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are proud to present their final show of the year - a psych rock extravaganza celebrating the release of Longheads' album "Layers of Wax" (released via local record label Stolen Body Records). Expect the sounds of psych, kraut, stoner and doom to fuse all three acts into a holistic journey through the cosmos.

Longheads

Longheads are a five piece psych rock band. Originally hailing from Norfolk the band who are Sam Mitchell (bass & vocals), Al Bishop (guitar), Nick Oakes (drums), Benjamin Reeve (guitar) and Mitchell Corrigan (synths & vocals) are now based in South London.

The band take influence from modern psych, stoner doom, kraut rock and 70s proto-metal. This mesh of genres comes through in their brain bending compositions and mind melting live performances.

Longheads are building a name for themselves as an impressive live act and have previously supported fellow stoner rockers Slift and King Buffalo. Longheads treated gig goes to a show stopping Desertfest debut last year and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Having been recently signed to Stolen Body records their debut album 'Layers of Wax' is due to be released late 2024. The project takes the sound they developed on their last EP ‘Mars Doesn’t Feel Like Home Anymore’ and pushes it in a heavier direction incorporating elements of early metal and stoner doom, while still maintaining the psychedelic essence.

Bubblegum Hypnosis

Insistent upon experimentation and improvisation, Bubblegum Hypnosis’ music traverses the sonical landscape, carrying their listeners on a journey through time and space. Sometimes dirty, sometimes clean; Sometimes reggae, sometimes mean - their music takes influence from a variety of artists, styles and sounds, whilst embodying the anything goes attitude of both prog and psych rock. Notable past shows include supports with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets & Temples.

Unmissable FFO: King Gizzard, Thee Oh Sees, Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix.

Guzzlers

Bristol based psych rock band.
