"Mackenzie continues his dungeon-club CORN catharsis, leaning into dark waves of occult DnB magic and proper ground-shaking, driving techno. Part of South Bermondsey’s DIY misfits, DJ Gonz’s mystic and earthy mix of beguiling dub and brooding teknoid steppas will rumble you to the core."

A
clubnight
held at The Love Inn
on Thursday 6th March. The event starts at 22:00.
Brain child of Mackenzie, CORN has been culprit to some of the cities most eclectic, tricked out and well curated nights as of late. Mainly featuring oddball sounds down at Strangbrew, Mackenzie does the pilgrimage to Stokes Croft with a heap of music marvels in tow.
Over the last 2 years DJ Gonz has been steadily making contributions to the darker end of the UK dance music. He runs the respected SELN label with Conrad Pack. Taking from the driving dub-tekno palette of SELN’s early catalogue, his recent releases on WAIN pushed his own techno sound to the heights of the mystic and the emotive, emphasising focused refrains and earthy kuduro-infused drum loops. He’s played esteemed venues such as the White Hotel (Manchester) and Venue MOT (London), where he recently played alongside established Detroit techno act DJ Bone. DJ Gonz is set to put out his first solo release on SELN later this year - stay tuned
Nate Ka$h’s DJ sets span many genres, taking inspiration from the dubstep scene she cut her teeth on, as well as the global club styles like GQOM and dancehall that she’s absorbed since. You can expect some sort of narrative to run through her sets, inclusive of Fade to Mind-esque anthemic melodies and the odd spoken word. Having recently supported the likes of Ben UFO on Sheffield’s peerless Sinai Sound System, and made a name for herself across the Atlantic in Mexico City, Nate Ka$h increases to carve out a space for her play-first, futuristic selection of club cuts.
Observer of SHFTD goes b2b with Corn resident Mackenzie to complete the bill.
