Directed by Mario Van Peebles, with a strong cast including Angela Bassett, Kadeem Hardison, Bobby Brown and Chris Rock, "Panther" (1995) tells the story of the rise of the Black Panther Party and how it was deliberately targeted and destroyed by the FBI's COINTELPRO programme.
