RIOT ACT- Bristol's searingly new Open Mic Cabaret Club Night- returns to The Island after a smash hit Halloween Spectacular at The Mount Without with a bang this November.

Spearheading this month's showcase shindig is a man who’s taking the British comedy scene by storm. Real life stand-up comedy superhero Kev Mud headlines our festivities with the characteristic fearless comic mastery that has marked his meteoric rise and made him a favourite with audiences the nation over. Having overcome struggles with addiction and homelessness, in just two years Kev has become a finalist in British Comedian Of The Year (winning all of his heats on the way), performed alongside comedy royalty on TV and sold out venues across the country. Informed by his experiences of homelessness and addiction, Kev’s comedy and performance poetry are suffused with a power and honesty that are fast making him one of the most distinctive and exciting voices on the scene right now.
Joining him is the newly minted Winner of this year’s prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, enfant terrible stand up Supremo Paul Hilleard!
Sharp, surreal, unorthodox and hysterically hilarious, from 1000 entrants nationwide Paul battled his way to the top to secure the crown of 2024’s #1 breakout comedy Star in BBC3’s acclaimed televised competition. Poised to take the comedy world by storm, Paul is another comedian you can’t afford to miss. Catch him while you can!
Queen of South East Spoken Word Naomi Wood, whose distinctive verse storytelling style is making serious waves across the country. Joyously irreverent and reverentially wrathful, her work celebrates rebellion and revels in rage whilst maintaining a healthy preoccupation with whimsy. Her solo spoken word show 'Gobbess' (currently touring the UK) has been described as 'Laugh-out-loud humour', 'hilarious, wholesome, powerful', 'delightful... pure magic', 'raw, and incisive'.
Cosmic Cockney Rhymer Colin B Osbourne, whose tongue-twisting high philosophical musings on the everyday smut of South London living have seen him celebrated across the Capital’s spoken word scene.
Maverick Mischief Mastermind Gaz Lawrence, whose picaresque misadventures of seedy irreverence offer answers to life’s most pressing questions big and small. Buckle up; you’re in for a the ride!
And Chief Rioters MC Wax Lyrical and Rob MC raise their tins of cider once again to host an evening of outrageous high octane fun.

Open Mic slots will open at 7pm sharp, and will be 4mins each.
