The Sacred Conclave at The Hatchet Inn
See event details

A gig on Sunday 14th April. The event starts at 20:00.

What is it? : All kinds of alternative folk and geeks are welcome to come and relax together, exploring what it means to follow Jesus Christ and his teachings from a Christian perspective. We are a motley crew of misfits from various churches around Bristol (City Church, Woodlands, Severn Vineyard, Anglicans, Catholics etc) and many other folk exploring faith and spirituality for the first time.
If you're not the biggest metal fan, please come and join us at 9pm after the music for a short talk and time of discussion around a Bible verse, as well as more time to socialise.
Time: 8pm until 10pm
Where: The Hatchet in the upstairs bar area which is reserved for our use.

We'll be gathering for what we used to call Metal Church. The gathering functions like an alternative and informal church service of sorts, reflecting our identity and subculture. As an important part of our time together, rather than singing traditional hymns, we “worship” with rock and metal worship songs! We also have a talk and discussion time based on the Bible, with an opportunity to ask questions and look at what it might mean to live out our faith in our lives, our city and our subculture.

Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
