Greenbank Ceilidh Collective - Winter Ceilidh at The Greenbank, Easton
See event details

A gig on Today. The event starts at 20:00.

The Greenbank Ceilidh collective brings community and joy to all. Featuring stalwart musicians of the Bristol folk scene Sid Goldsmith & Alex Garden our collective is borne out of the Greenbank tunes session & supports new musicians in playing tunes for dancing. Come and learn some cracking dances with us.

The ceilidh dancing will take place upstairs at The Greenbank Pub, Easton, BS5 6DP. Doors open at 7:30. Dancing will begin at 8pm. There will be a break between two sets of dances for refreshments and a cool-off outside if necessary. We ask that you bring sensible footwear for dancing and refrain from carrying drinks during the dances. All of the dances will be taught and led by our caller Hannah Moore.

The event runs closely alongside The Greenbank Tunes Session which takes place in the bar every first and third Tuesday of the month. We're encouraging musicians to join in - so if you fancy playing some tunes along with us as well as dancing then please arrive in plenty of time and make yourself known to the band!

£8 and £10 tickets are available in advance - tickets on the door will be £15. We strongly advise that you book in advance if you'd like to attend as we cannot guarantee there will be door tickets available if the event sells out.

Please tell your friends and share this event - live music and dancing only takes place with the support of the community around us.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
