on Sunday 8th December. The event starts at 17:00.
December at The Green Man brings us a rare acoustic set from Courting Ghosts and a premium showcase of new talent from Noru, hailing from Singapore.
Courting Ghosts;
Courting Ghosts are a band known for their unique blend of Indie Americana, acoustic and folk music with occasional forays into rock and jazz, placing melody at the heart of everything they do. Their music ranges from expansive acoustic ballads to lively, tempo-driven songs, showcasing their versatility and commitment to crafting evocative music.
Since their first performance in 2023, Courting Ghosts have embarked on an unwavering musical journey. They have devoted themselves to writing and refining their material, recording their debut album released September 2024, and captivating audiences at a variety of venues—from intimate pubs and clubs to larger county music centers and songwriter festivals.
and
Noru;
Noru is a singer-songwriter from Singapore.
After spending his growing up years performing and recording music in Rock and Metal bands around the south east Asia, notably as the the frontman for the Indie Rock band ‘Cashew Chemists’, Noru, now a little older and slightly wiser, explores the realities of living in adulthood through a sonic diary of multiple genres stretching from gentle acoustic folk to the intoxicating 4-to-the-floor beats of House and Indie Disco.
Now based in Bristol, UK, Noru synthesised his love for Jazz, Folk & Soul artists like Leon Bridges, Erlend Øye, Paul Simon and the late Malaysian film star and composer P. Ramlee in his music.
His first single ‘Wanita’, released this summer, is out on Spotify and the debut Ep is due for release in early 2025.
As always our host Max Harrison will open with a short set before handing the stage onto these two fabulous artists.
