After graduating from the Royal Conservertoire of Antwerp, Jonathan Westhorp has steadily established himself within the south west Jazz scene regularly performing with Rendezblues, Greg Sterland’s Yard Dogs. Previously he has performed as a sideman throughout Catalunya, Nepal and Central America.
Playing an eclectic mix of deep rooted guitar music (John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Julian Lage) with a mixture of swinging rhythms, blues inspired expression and contemporary groove in equal parts, this is a new trio that presents unique and soulful arrangements of jazz repertoire interspersed with a selection of brand new original music.
Jonny Westhorp began his musical career in his home country, building a strong reputation for quality performances. He has been resident on the Bristol Jazz Scene for a while now and is in high demand for his sensitive, complimentary and intuitive style.
He is joined by the wonderful Italian rhythm section of Paulo Adamo and Guillame Ottaviani.
