In The Dark: XMTR Listening Lounge at The Grain Barge
See event details

A event held at The Grain Barge on Thursday 15th May. The event starts at 19:30.

In The Dark is delighted to welcome Lucia Scazzocchio to the Bristol harbour, as guest curator for an unpredictable evening of creative audio works.
Lucia is the founder and curator of xmtr.fm (a sonic storytelling platform for independent audio makers) and the XMTR Audio Arts Festival in St Leonards-On-Sea, E. Sussex.
These evolving curated spaces celebrate audio works that cut through the noise, bend genres, amplify unheard voices, immerse, surprise and don’t generally feature on the usual podcast streams and mainstream radio.

Lucia is also an award winning audio producer/sound artist herself, and founder of Social Broadcasts - where audio making meets community engagement and participatory art practice. Visit: www.socialbroadcasts.co.uk to hear more.

So join us in the Grain Barge’s Hold Bar, for a selection of audio works that have featured on xmtr.fm, have caught Lucia’s ears and capture the versatility of creative audio making. From mini audio-dramas and plunder phonics, to geophony soundscapes and sound poems, expect the unexpected…

WHEN: Thursday 15th May, doors 7pm for 7:30 start.
