held at The Golden Lion
on Saturday 8th March. The event starts at 19:00.
After a year of shows, writing, rehearsals and recording, Kibbo Kift now goes on to release their long-awaited single 'Crossroads' for the masses. This ceremony will be the celebration of the beautiful noise of Kibbo Kift and the long journey so far.
Kibbo Kift - A five-piece Bristol-based band that fuses elements of dreamy layered textures with gritty, energetic overtones. Their lyrics draw inspiration from myth and nature, reflecting a deep connection to the stories of the past. With a passion for blending the old with the new, Kibbo Kift has carved out a unique niche in the Bristol music scene. Their captivating live performances transport audiences to otherworldly realms, making them a standout presence in the burgeoning Shoegaze revival.
Eva Penny - Captivating and at times cutting, Eva Penney has always been honest in her music, constantly treading an uneasy line between metaphor and truth. With a sound inspired by alternative and acoustic folk, the electronic and DIY elements weaved into her recordings and performances create a unique and warming listening experience.
Over the course of 2024, Eva has been putting out tracks no different to the family of releases she has been dutifully crafting over the past couple of years; they’re warm and quietly personal, littered with downright odd but carefully chosen samples, and are so DIY they feel like home.
Eva has been gigging consistently since moving to Bristol in 2022, most recently performing shows with her band at venues such as The Jam Jar, The Lanes and The Trinity Centre and taking part in the Independent Venues Week event at The Louisiana.
Copper Dog -
3 fish in one big lake
Yearning for the smell of outside
It’s almost a complicated topic
For our house is here
& anything above the water is there
Fuzz, fuzz & more fuzz
To mask what’s spoken
But you might catch a glimpse of it
& think it’s pretty beautiful
