Stephen Evens + Ultrasound + Baroness Homme at The Golden Lion
£5 advance, £7 on the door

A gig held at The Golden Lion on Friday 29th November. The event starts at 20:00.

The Stephen Evens Band
Stephen EvEns is a singular songwriter who makes charming, characterful albums that tap into the twisted toy town spirit of Syd Barrett, the Kinks, Kevin Ayers and the Cardiacs, while evoking a world entirely of his own making. Stephen Gilchrist
is a drummer, producer and engineer who has toured the world with truculent Brit pop stars, disco sensations, ageing punks and countless others. They are, of course, the same. Join him and his all-star band featuring the legendary Debbie Smith (Echobelly, Snowpony, Ye Nuns) on guitar for a rare West Country show!

ULTRASOUND
...not that one! Exciting new project from Witch Hook/Milkfiz bassist and all-round genius Jake Ellis.

BARONESS HOMME
Founded approximately 8 months ago in a Bristol shed, Baroness Homme consist of Annette Berlin of Shoun Shoun (Drums) and Shawn Mullins of GlueHorse (Guitar). They share the joys of making an unhinged racket with a punked up, DIY attitude.
Baroness Homme combine distorted staccato rhythms and melody loops punctuated with bursts of drum fire & groove. A melding of post-punk and noise rock sonics with twin prong vocals. They recently released a demo song called 'The Pilot' which is a mordant observation of the car as a macho symbol of status.
