See event details

A gig held at The Gallimaufry on Tuesday 26th November. The event starts at 21:00.

Zak Robinson is a self produced singer-songwriter from Devon. After his time training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance got cut short in 2020, Zak wrote and recorded his debut album ‘Becoming Alice’ in 5 months on the floor of his bedroom in isolation. From nuanced love songs, to ambiguous dream folk, Zak Robinson pursues vulnerability head on.

Roman Lewis is a 23-year-old London based singer-songwriter who has toured with the likes of The Wombats, Blossoms, Inhaler and Matt Maltese. Roman Has amassed over 10 million streams and sold out several headline shows.

'New York Cafe'. Think Sin-e where Jeff Buckley started out, or CBGB where the The Velvet Underground and Talking Heads made a name for themselves. Zak Robinson and Roman Lewis as songwriters, are both so inspired by the New York songwriter scene and bonded over the love of these songs. Playing their originals and a collection of their favourite New York covers throughout the decades, they will transport you back in time. Backed up by our House band The Naughty Steps who will help you move physically and move you emotionally.

‘New York Cafe’ is not a night to miss!

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
