See event details

A gig held at Bristol Folk House on Wednesday 9th April. The event starts at 19:00.

Whiskey River (duo) featuring Martin Blake and Aidan Sheehan will play at the marvellous Adult Education and Performing Arts venue that is "Bristol Folk House" (as part of the venue's excellent live events programme in the Café). Tickets are available via the venue (£10.50 which includes a small booking fee). Doors at 6pm; live music from 7pm. Come along and enjoy. They'd love to see you there.

As usual Martin and Aidan will present a marvellous mixture of Folk Americana including Cajun, Zydeco, Retro style Blues and Country, some haunting Irish airs, jazz, folk and acoustic versions of some classic numbers, maybe some Eastern European music... and whatever else they fancy! They play a variety of instruments and both sing. This is an lightly amplified folk and acoustic music gig.

MORE INFO; Martin and Aidan have a history at this venue where they were once the official festival jam leaders and sometimes stage performers at Bristol Cajun and Zydeco Festival. They've played at several events here across the years including the National Harmonica League Festival, Harmonica UK, Spring Harmonica Festival and Bristol Bluegrass Festival. Aidan has been a harmonica competition judge here to besides being the long-time Bristol Folk House harmonica tutor.

Entry requirements: 18+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
