What can we learn from writers of the past? This six-week poetry course will deep-dive into the work of six modern poets, including Sylvia Plath and Adrienne Rich, probing what makes their poetry tick. We will write in response to their work, experimenting with new themes, styles, and voices, so that by the end of this course you will have a deeper understanding of twentieth-century poetry, as well as a selection of drafts and new poems.
