***IF BOOKING SOLD OUT, WALK-INS WELCOME FROM 19.45 ON THE NIGHT***
The Comedy Loft is housed on Bristol's King St in the middle of town above The Volley. With a variety of different stand-up acts, all hilarious, there's something for everyone.
Every night is headlined by a top act who's experienced on the national circuit and is hand picked to make you laugh. Chances are you'll be seeing them all over the TV in a couple of year's time. All this and you're paying nothing to get in.
No 2 nights or line ups are the same at the loft but all have a great, friendly atmosphere with plenty of laughs to be had. As well as a cheeky game or two thrown in as well for good measure.
The best thing about the night is that you pay what you want for it. If it's awful then pay nothing, if it's great then by all means get your chequebook out.
Our headliner is Ben Pope - a stand-up comedian, writer and comedy performer.
Ben has taken two critically-acclaimed solo stand-up hours to the Edinburgh Fringe - Baby Sasquatch in 2018 (which transferred to the Soho Theatre in June the following year) and Dancing Bear in 2019. His YouTube special Mr Big Stuff - released in December 2022 - has been viewed 20k times and counting.
He has been doing stand-up for the best part of a decade (as an act and MC), gigging regularly across the UK and has previously worked with the award-winning NewsRevue, appeared on Comedy Central’s Achievement Unlocked, Dave’s Comedy Guide to Life and the BBC New Comedy Award on Radio 4 Extra.
He was also one third of the cult sketch group Princes of Main who were part of the line-up at London SketchFest in 2016, and had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 and 2017. Their critically acclaimed show New Year’s Eve (‘the future of sketch comedy is in safe hands’ – The Telegraph) transferred to London’s Soho Theatre in early 2018.
