A event held at The Cube on Thursday 26th September. The event starts at 19:30.

The film revisits the ‘Rock Against Racism’ movement of the late 70s, noting its influence on future waves of radical artists and political activists and the late 50s organizing of the ‘The Stars Campaign For Inter-Racial Friendship’ by British jazz musicians and entertainers in the wake of the 1958 Notting Hill riots. It features many renowned musicians, writers, commentators and activists including original members of Steel Pulse, Aswad, and The Sex Pistols. The film finishes with a focus on both grime music and the historic role played by Black musicians in British popular music.

Evening opens in 70s militant style courtesy of DJ Dub Punk in the bar. Bristol/London events organisers Emerging Sounds have curated a fantastic showcase of MCs & DJs for the after film Love Music Hate Racism performance. Featuring live PAs from up and coming local artists Teddy Good bringing genre blending smooth melodic vibes, Rapper KWAZI, witty & positive, both chill and hype, and fast rising Alternative/Soul singer and producer Sambee.
