Soul In The City is a new night dedicated to celebrating the rich legacy of Black music, from soul-tinged pop to funk-soaked R&B. Curated by French artist Maxime Elliot, this event brings together local talent, unforgettable melodies, and fresh original music. Expect a warm, intimate evening of soul-stirring performances, storytelling, and good vibes in a cosy setting at The Crafty Egg.

LINEUP

ALI AUSTIN
Ali Austin, based in Bristol, has been making a name for herself in the city’s vibrant music scene. With her soulful R&B sound, she draws influences from artists like Olivia Dean, Yebba, and Lianne La Havas, blending powerful vocals with introspective songwriting. On 1st March 2024, she released her debut single, “I Can’t Breathe,” which has since received airplay on Future Hits Radio and BBC Radio Cymru. Ali's emotive performances have resonated with audiences across the South-West and beyond.

LYLE!
Multi-instrumentalist producer Lyle Anderton wears a heart on their sleeve kinda fella. Their music is Queer-centred, humorous, surreal and looks to combine UK Jazz,West-coast soul, and latin and african rhythms. Often heralded as a complimentary sonic accompaniment for fans of Jacob Collier, Thundercat, David Bowie.

SAM PAUL
A Bristol based singer songwriter who loves sharing his music and his experiences on stage. Inspired by a mixture of genres, Blues, Folk, Soul and Rock. Sam sings songs about moments in his life. Performing solo or with his band when you hear his music you’re bound to feel the embrace of a warm hug. With chilled out and slacker rock vibes he plays easy going music that is catchy and will for sure get your foot tapping.
