"Free entry! Step inside the haunted house of West Country blues that is Ma Plaine’s Great Decline. Their moody Waits-channelling Americana slithers and swings with bone-rattling skiffle rhythms and a big dollop of proggy oddness. Sinister, spellbinding!"

Hard to pigeon hole, quirky, dark yet uplifting mash of blues, jazz and country. Beth’s distinctive, emotive vocals coupled with her evocative lyrics create a compelling mix of abstract tales, dark humour and raw beauty, whilst Clinton’s understated guitar style supports with rich chords and gritty riffs, Jimmy cements the sound with jaw dropping drums to get the crowd moving. Speakeasy vibes, memorable and unique.
The band have had wide-spread acclaim and earned the band “Best band/duo” award from Fatea Magazine, with MOJO magazine saying they “have evolved a pop-folk-blues-americana style that is warmly familiar yet is sufficiently unhinged to keep you guessing”. Their songs have racked up airplay across the airwaves including 6 Music and Cerys Matthew’s Radio 2 Blues Show. They have toured across the UK from theatres to intimate grass roots venues and many festivals such as Black Deer, Purbeck Valley Folk and Towersey folk festival.
