At The Canteen tonight, Down Stokes Presents:

- DREAMWAVE (Bristol) -
Dreamwave blends infectious synth and guitar melodies reminiscent of the nervous energy and edgy stylings of Devo and The B-52's. Their latest single, ‘Mindcave’ has received praise in various reviews and has been added to ‘NME’s New Bangers’ and Ones To Watch ‘Now Watching’ playlists. As well as this, they have opened for The Night Beats (Heavenly), Boogarins, & System Exclusive (Castle Face Records).
The Brighton-bred/Bristol-based quartet’s spellbinding stoner-surfbeat has already sent them stratospheric before their debut EP even landed. Indulge in their Nuggets-grade garage-pop and fuzz-guitar frenzies.

- WATER PISTOL (Cardiff) -
Sunglass wearing, rock ‘n’ roll collective Waterpistol combine the celestial makeup of 90s shoegaze with the late 60s unfolding of folk, jazz, and the blues. Heavily percussive and generous when vocal duties are considered, Waterpistol’s high energy live show has been compared to watching a really entertaining version of the Manson family. Key shows for the six piece have come in support of CVC, Himalayas and past Green Man Rising winners Dactyl Terra, as well as appearances at Sŵn Festival, FOCUS Wales and In It Together.

Free entry / £6 after 9:30pm

Entry requirements: 18+
