Mohamed Errebbaa was born in Rabat, Moroccan musician and Master in the GNAWA world. He spent a decade travelling throughout Morocco, studying the diverse regional musical traditions under some of the leading musicians in the country.

In southern Morocco, Issawa, and Deqqa folkloric percussion, becoming especially passionate about the three-stringed Gnawa bass lute, the Guembri, before launching his international career.

Recepive to the fusion of musical genres, he has collaborated with many leading international artists. He worked and performed with artists Trevy Felix, Nelly Stharre, Antonia Vai, Hamid Bouchnak, Martin Signeur and Justin Adams, mixing traditional African music with the sounds of the wider world.

Mohamed has already performed at several festivals worldwide including Shambala, Greenbelt, WOMAD (Uk), Bergenfest (Norway), Busan (South Korea), Festival internationale de percussions sousse (Tunisia).

Mohamed ERREBBAA & Tagna Groove band is the fruit of a project funded by Art council UK and led by Mohamed to give a plaUorm to Gnawa music and expose this traditiononal music in a modern way with UK based talented musicians.

Expect soaring vocals and bass-heavy grooves. Get ready for a night of global music that will see intensity, power chords and stories of arrival and departure.

This performance will harness the deep trance power of the Gnawa repertoire and will showcase the old African funk, blues & jazz, bringing elements of trance to lift the spirits and dance.
