Bristol Longform Takeover at The Bristol Improv Theatre
Standard: £13 | Concession £10

A event on Friday 28th February. The event starts at 20:00.

Get ready for a takeover!

Bristol Longform Comedy are taking over the Bristol Improv Theatre to showcase local improv troupes performing fantastically funny longform improv - as well as the uniquely assembled Takeover Team featuring different new and experienced improvisers each time!

Bristol Longform Comedy (BLC) is a community-oriented group who shines a light on American-Style Longform Improv. American Longform is a continuous improvised piece inspired by an audience suggestion, structured like sketch comedy, rather than a play.

Their takeover will show you the wide range of wonderful improv Bristol has to offer. There will be two established groups and the Takeover Team: a community troupe created just for the night.

Come along for an evening jam-packed with entertainment and comedy!

Act One: Birdwatchers

Two improvisers explore the history of a relationship in what has been described as Improv for people with divorced parents.

Act Two: The Takeover Team

The Takeover Team is an assortment of improvisers from the community who have assembled for just one show. That's right, just one show. Catch them while you can, because if you miss them, you'll never get to see them again!

Act Three: Groundhogs
The Groundhogs are icons of Bristol’s longform improv scene. Watch their cast relive the same scene over and over – and see how the tiniest of changes can lead to a totally different future, exploring all the different ways a single moment could play out.
