Come and hear songs from Paul Dodgson's brand new indie folk album, Hope is the Horizon, released on May 2nd on vinyl and streaming via Road Not Taken Records. It was produced by Welsh genius Frank Naughton at Ty Drwg studio in Cardiff and features members of This is the Kit and Hatful of Rain alongside his musical partner, fiddle supremo Ian Harris.

Paul Dodgson is an indie folk singer/songwriter and writer of plays, screenplays and memoir. His acclaimed book On the Road Not Taken: A Memoir About the Power of Music (Unbound, 2019), told the story of falling in love with music as a child and becoming a singer after a thirty-year hiatus. To do this he embarked on a tour that took him to pubs, clubs, theatres and festivals on a road that led from the Isles of Scilly to Berlin. You will also hear songs from Paul's 2019 EP Fire in the Darkness and subsequent releases. These have clocked up over 100k streams and gained a following around the world.

Paul has written music and lyrics for many theatre shows including The Nutcracker (Nuffield Theatre, Southampton 2013) and Alice Through The Looking Glass (Tobacco Factory, Bristol 2007). In other aspects of his writing life he has scripted over 20 plays for BBC Radio 4, composed the score for BBC Radio 3’s adaptation of The Epic of Gilgamesh, and introduced Kat Slater to Albert Square in Eastenders.
