held at The Bristol Fringe
on Wednesday 26th March. The event starts at 20:00.
Classical music collides with the raw energy of jazz and electronic music in the bold, boundary-pushing sound of Bristol-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Fabio Ferri. Acclaimed as "Bristol’s answer to Frank Zappa", Ferri fuses heavy grooves, intricate compositions, and playful musical interaction, drawing from his deep classical background to craft something entirely his own.
At this special show, he will present ‘Prelude’ and ‘The Sinking Cathedral’, two singles from his upcoming full release, Transfiguration. Since forming his band in late 2022, Ferri has been redefining the live music experience, bringing fresh sonic frontiers to headline shows and festival stages alike.
"Fabio really invites you into his strange world of music through his playful interaction and a combination of not taking himself too seriously, whilst simultaneously showcasing exceptional virtuosity..." – PHAT Bristol
Closing the night: Benkins (DJ set)
Bristol-born Benkins is a familiar face in the city’s underground scene, known for his diverse sets that explore lesser-played genres like hardroove, electro, and speed dembow. With a love for pushing musical boundaries, he’s shared lineups with artists like Sherelle, Grooverider, Oldboy, Borai, Silva Bumpa, and Nia Archives. As both a DJ and producer, Benkins brings a distinctive energy, always focused on keeping his sound fresh and unpredictable.
His set will feature an exclusive remix of ‘The Sinking Cathedral’, reimagining Ferri’s composition through his own sonic lens.
