A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Tuesday 6th August. The event starts at 20:00.

Alex is excited to host a special collaboration with American guitarist Steven Kirby, at the Fringe In The Round on Tuesday 6th August. It is a treat to have Steven across playing at the night, and it is going to be a really fun one! :)

Joining forces with Steven are Alex Merritt on tenor sax, Will Harris on bass and Liz Exell on drums. This fantastic line-up will lend their talents to interpretations of original music by Steven and Alex, (including a couple of new compositions Alex has written with the collaboration in mind), as well as some arrangements of jazz standards and classic tunes by John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny, and others. This promises to be a brilliant show, expect nuanced and engaging contemporary jazz, with a warmth and lyrical edge that will make this a really memorable evening.
