Larkham, Hall & Rose at The Bristol Fringe
See event details

A gig held at The Bristol Fringe on Sunday 5th January. The event starts at 18:00.

Sarah Larkham and Elliot Hall are Americana-soul songwriters, this evening they will be accompanied by Charlie Rose on violin and piano! Retro, emotional, poetic, badass, beautiful and bluesy song-weaving troubadours. With the odd touch of latin flair. And a rock thread that weaves its way very quietly through everything, in the way that it does in Tom Waits music, or Nick Cave. And tug-at-the-heartstrings melodies. And honest, heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics. (Sarah) Larkham and (Elliot) Hall are a long established musical duo who fit perhaps better into the category of 'artist' than any specific genre. They are joined by ridiculously talented Charlie Rose on fiddle and piano, who adds fluidity and flair to their music like rosin to a bow.

Their EP - 'Crooked Baby Hands' - produced by Matt Sampson, is a long-awaited treat of five very different tracks representing their musical bouquet. Due for release June 2023

‘A gruff and tumble voice pulling away at lyrics this good is the kind of daydream England needs to reignite a spark for credible new songwriters. Elliot Hall is a breathtaking and awe inspiring rogue’ NME

'A unique knack for songwriting, with a rock edge that creeps excitingly in now and then.' Bristol 24/7

'Sarah Larkham is a vocal dynamo' Bluesdoodles

‘Larger than life and totally unique’ Bristol Rock

''Fans of folk, poetry and rock should pay attention'' NME
