St Pauls Carnival: It Takes A City Day Party at The Boxing Gym
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"We can’t believe our eyes and ears: Johnny Clarke’s in Bristol! The vanguard voice of roots reggae heads a posse of local soundsystems in this admittedly massive ‘Back A Yard’ micro-edition of the St Pauls cultural blowout. Rally round the revelries, food, crafts, parades and community vibes - it’s all raising funds to secure the full return of the Carnival in 2025."

A clubnight held at The Boxing Gym on Saturday 6th July. The event starts at 14:00.

Make way for a celebration day in the heart of the city at The Boxing Gym, AKA Riverside Youth Project.

Headlined by the legendary Johnny Clarke, we’re recreating the Carnival experience with home-grown veteran and next generation soundsystems.

There's something for the whole community with open air music, crafts, kids’ activities, stalls, delicious food and more – complete with a mas celebration and parade.

The event will also help raise funds to bring Carnival Day back to the streets in 2025 – it takes a city to make it happen!

Expect the epic sounds of Carnival Day, a community atmosphere and big vibes.

Now that’s Carnival!

Presented as part of St Pauls Carnival’s Back A Yard programme and sponsored by Hargreaves Lansdown
