Henry V at Temple Church
See event details

A event on Tuesday 15th July. The event starts at 19:30.

Bristol’s favourite ‘Site Specific Theatre Masters’ (Bristol 24/7) Insane Root make their joyful return in 2025, with a thrilling and unique all-female/non-binary version of Shakespeare’s Henry V specifically created for Bristol’s iconic Temple Church, a haunting, bombed-out mediaeval ruin.

Bursting with original songs from acclaimed composer Ellian Showering (Rumpelstiltskin, The Tempest, Hansel & Gretel), and directed by Natalie Simone (nominated for Best Director in the Off West End Awards for The Ugly One), this visceral production will linger in your imaginations for years to come.

“This is Shakespeare at its best: involved, atmospheric, and understood.” Bristol 24/7 on Macbeth

**** "For those who think Shakespeare isn’t for them, Insane Root is the company to change those minds.” - Reviews Hub on Romeo & Juliet

ADVERSE WEATHER
Henry V at Temple Church is an open air, seated performance without cover for either the staging or the audience. The performances are designed to go on in inclement weather. We recommend that our audiences come prepared for all eventualities of a British Summer. Please avoid using umbrellas during the performance.

We will not cancel a performance due to weather unless we deem it unsafe for either audiences or performers to continue and we will never cancel a show before the advertised start time - this is because you'd be amazed how often it can rain all day and then clear up in time for a show. If the weather is considered not to pose risk to either performers or audience the show will go on.

If the weather does pose a risk to performers or audience, a decision will be made by the Stage Manager, Producer and Venue Manager to cancel the show. We will arrange a transfer of your tickets to the next available performance.

CANCELLATIONS & EXCHANGES
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable except in certain specific circumstances.

If you need to change your tickets more than a week prior to your performance date, we will transfer them to a suitable alternative of the same ticket value (subject to availability). No refund will be offered should you choose not to attend.

Tickets cannot be exchanged with less than a week's notice, please therefore check your booking confirmation carefully!

In the event of a cancelled performance (prior to the performance time) we will transfer your ticket to an available performance, or provide a full refund.

If a show has to be cancelled mid-performance we will try our best to exchange tickets, but this is subject to availability, or provide free access to our professionally filmed performance.

All refunds and exchanges are subject to availability. An admin charge may be incurred at the company's discretion..
