A event on Today. The event starts at 14:00.

On this new moon eclipse, we will turn to, honour and experience the astrological mythology of eclipses through theory, story-telling and movement (some somatic exercises).
This workshop invites you to receive this symbolism through your body, mind, and in relation with each other. The mythology of eclipses concerns the themes of births, deaths, shadows, oppositions, and power struggles… As the world as we know it dies, what may be born from the ashes? What parts of us die to allow for the gestation of collective creation and care? And how can ancient systems of timing and symbol help guide us through such changes? Astrology is a powerful teacher through its way of connecting to, and queering, time through cycles. It is a way of holding and interpreting cyclical resonance throughout our own lives and throughout collective history and political happenings. It can be hope and holding in the face of scarcity-driven, apocalyptic, linear time. This workshop shares that through meditating on the dramatic mythos of eclipse transits and their relationship to the collective unconscious Dragon, through a queer and decolonial lens.

Sab is a multidisciplinary artist and facilitator working at the intersections of animism, ritual, mythology, gender-fluid and species-fluid experience, and trauma. Their practice explores embodying and communing with the natural world in the here-&-now, as well as with timeless mythos, as methods to disrupt linearity, scarcity and individualism. Astrology has been a deep teacher for them in regards to this, and is something they are excited to share.

Accessibility: Unfortunately, this time the space is not wheelchair accessible. There are two flights of stairs to get to the space. I am looking for an accessible space for the next installment. This workshop includes some intuitive movement but this is flexible and can be interpreted in any way, including through sitting or lying. If you have any questions about accessibility please send an email to: swantoch at Gmail dot com

What to Bring: Please wear comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle and pen and paper if you wish to integrate through writing or make notes.

Entry requirements: 18+
