Jerry Bergonzi is a celebrated American saxophonist, composer, and educator, renowned for his mastery of the tenor saxophone and his innovative approach to jazz.
Jerry gained worldwide recognition while playing with two generations of Dave Brubeck bands. Among the innumerable artists that Bergonzi has performed and recorded with are; Bill Evans, Paul Desmond, Dave Holland, Gerry Mulligan, Jack DeJonette, John Abercrombie, Roy Haynes, Pat Martino and many more.
His dynamic playing and deep understanding of harmony and improvisation have earned him widespread acclaim. In addition to his extensive performance career, Bergonzi is a respected educator, having authored numerous books on jazz theory and improvisation. His virtuosic technique and creative voice make him a key figure in contemporary jazz.
He is joined by piano star Jason Rebello, and his long-time musical collaborators and friends Mark Hodgson on bass and Stephen Keogh on drums.
