A
event
held at Strange Brew
on Wednesday 16th November. The event starts at 19:00.
WE’RE BACK, baby. After 2 spectacular sell-out shows, join Trans Pride South West for our third annual comedy night. And this time, it’s bigger than ever.
Expect a night full of laughter and hilarity from some of the UK’s hottest trans and non-binary comedians for a night full of joy. Previous year’s acts include Jordan Gray, Dian Cathal, and Jen Ives.
PERFORMERS
ALASDAIR WALLACE
He's here, he's queer, he... can't remember what he came in for. Alasdair Wallace is warm, engaging, and highly distractable. Blending personal anecdotes with flights of fancy and the occasional meta twist - if you think it's confusing, just remember that he has to live like this.
JUNE TUESDAY
100% the hottest comedian in Bristol and quite possibly the world, June has been making a name for herself on the UK comedy circuit for several years now.
LIV DRAKE
Bubbly, crude, rude, and confused, Liv Drake is brand new to comedy and Bristol and full of energy
MAY THOMPSON
Coming from Cornwall, 19 year old May Thompson ran away to Cardiff to pursue stand-up comedy, with her uni degree being a fun side effect of that. A self-described "absurdist", May has been worming her way into Cardiff's comedy scene for the past year, tearing up audiences and scripts alike in the process with her brand of ridiculous but deeply personal stand-up.
Having made it to the 2022 Chortle Student Comedy Award semi-finals, May shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
VIC KONTEH
Vic is (probably) the South West’s tallest sales assistant, drag queen and occasional stand-up comedian. Expect some mildly whimsical comedy from somebody who is always visibly sweating.
& headliner:
SAM WILLIAMS
Every Mum's favourite bisexual he/they comedian, Sam Williams takes every day subject matters and twists them in "inventive" and "vivid" ways with "a relaxed and assured presence" (Chortle). 2021 Chortle Student Comedy Award Runner Up/2022 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Finalist/2022 Union JACK Radio One to Watch.
