"Sell out warning! Expect nothing, appreciate everything, bring earplugs, bring sunglasses, kill your idols to make way for the grand Japanoise architect and arch-mystic of live ritual mayhem. Anything we say about EYE will become irrelevant by the time he takes stage to unleash a glitching punk glyph hinting at the future of all sound. If you know, you know, but you still won’t know….until you go."

∈Y∋ (aka Yamantanka Eye) is the founder of pioneering Japanese noise rock band BOREDOMS, started in 1986. A cult figure hugely respected across many genres, over his career he has released music with Sonic Youth, supported Nirvana and produced 14 albums as Boredsoms - a Long-running project known for pushing a bizarre combination of free jazz, hardcore punk, noise, and electronica, and famed for their legendary performance with 77 drummers in New York in 2007. Always underpinned by a gleeful sense of humor, their philosophy has helped them find a surprisingly wide audience among alternative rock fans.
Also a member of art projects UFO or Die, Puzzle Punks, Noise Ramones and Destroy 2, EYE is notorious for his vast, confusing discography and countless guest appearances. He also started DJing in the 90s under the name DJ 光光光 or "DJ pica pica pica" ("pica" means "bright" or "shiny"), with a multifaceted mixing style, releasing many mix CDs & remixes.
Tonight ∈Y∋ presents new work with visuals by C.O.L.O, a Live Visual Artist who founded COSMIC LAB. C.O.L.O's representative works include "FINALBY( )", a performing art project with ∈Y∋ and others, "THE TRIP", a audio-visual project co-produced by Jeff Mills.
BUFFEE (Spinny Nights)
Bristol-born and Manchester-based, BUFFEE's music comes from a hyperpop background but blends it with noise, chopped up dance music and choir vocals, swinging between melodrama and hedonism. Most of her songs are based on samples of her voice compressed and distorted to create something unique. A Noods Radio alumnus, recent releases like "EP2", "Pictures" and “Heaven" bring to mind the cut-glass clarity of early-PC Music tempered with a very 2020s sense of information overload.
MXLX
For over 20 years, Matt Loveridge has been amongst the most inventive, influential figures in Bristol’s experimental music scene. As well as co-founding Beak>, he has created 70+ solo records under various aliases signifying different disciplines: from piano-and-vocals pieces as Knife Liibrary to his work without any live or MIDI instruments as Gnar Hest. As MXLX, he combines metal, industrial and noise in impossibly maximalist pieces, with some songs layering as many as 80 audio tracks
Ekstasis (Industrial Coast)
London/Bristol Based, Cardiff born Lorelei Hacking aka Ekstasis generates complex modular patches backed by dramatic vocals, pushing an idiosyncratic sound. Wall-to-wall nail-biting feedback, drone, piercing vocal deliveries and back alley sleaze using contact mics.
Bruno & The Outrageous Methods of Presentation
Still in his teens, Bristol-based Bruno Wilkinson has been making music since 2017 (aged 11). His Bandcamp page already features 60 releases splatter-gunning golden gems of power-pop, garage-punk, nihilistic electro-void darkness and catchy teeth-rattlers, influenced by subgenres like Oi!, riot grrrl, EBM, hardcore, industrial, anarcho, psychedelic rock, proto-punk, garage rock, punxploitation, and more. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of almost every branch of underground weirdo music and noise from the last 60 years.
"If Mark E. Smith, Captain Beefhart, and Kim Fowley were all raised from the grave by a tweaking necromancer and charged to raise a babe from infancy to teenhood, you might get something akin to Bruno Wilkinson" - Travis Shosa, Counterzine. His band, the Outrageous Methods of Presentation currently consists of Bruno, Richard Thornton, Delia Sparrow, and Jason Cook.
